It happened to me in my very first Siren fight with a Hell and she had one of the highest debuff resist in that team.

Outside of team composition, a good mechanic to keep in mind with the Siren is that she is 3x more likely to attempt to charm the character in your party with the lowest debuff resistance. It's a good idea to take 3x holy water and have your heavy hitters consume them while leaving a relatively harmless.
